Doug YoungVP Strategic Relationships & Senior Advisory Group Member
Doug is a serial entrepreneur, specializing in the development and application of disruptive technologies. He founded numerous technology companies, leading ten of them through successful exits. Fortune 100/500 companies such as 3M, MCI Telecommunications, Salem Communications, Landmark Communications and Cox Communications either purchased or joint ventured with his companies and engaged him to serve as the transitional team leader. He assimilated each organization into new media groups and subsidiary companies to transition conventional media, such as print, photography, and retail into digital media platforms.
Doug acquired numerous companies to augment the respective growth strategies of each of his businesses. From these initiatives, he identified strategies integral for each company to experience rapid growth and market dominance. The business structure Doug used in the companies he founded caught the attention of Harvard Business School. Harvard used his business model as a case study entitled, "Managing in the MarketSpace," as an example of how to deliver digital assets through new media venues. Currently, as Co-Founder of Strategic Focus Group, Doug assists companies who seek innovative solutions in technology and media in their quest to scale their business and build market share. He is known for his strategic prowess in technology and rapid growth and advises companies in identifying strategies and technology that empowers their companies to achieve rapid growth, particularly at the point where new media and technology merge. His advisory services include developing corporate strategy, new technology implementation, corporate structure and acquisitions that facilitate rapid growth and market positioning. |
